Yes I need a rear engine mount, the stock one aint gonna last long. Anyone got an uprated one for a Mk1?
Yeah Steve, I`ll do a drop off. I`m looking for reasons to drive around at the moment.

Heh I saw this little beasty yesterday. Couldn't believe how loud it was! Great to see it finished and in the flesh, nice work with the RTA mate hahaha.

Vrooooooo-pshh! Haha ****in' love it Matt. It MOVES!
Thanks Ray. That was fun zipping along the motorway on a mini cruise. Your car looks sick when rolling too.
So nice to have a project that actually goes
The Rocco engine is now run in and oil and filter have been changed.
Goies Alright. Now to wait until double demerits are over.
Was so motivated that I finished off the back seat when I got home and stuffed it in the car. Looks great, but too dark for pics. Soon.

Matt - If you're after a firmer engine mount, I was browsing the SuperPro bushes catalogue yesterday, and came across a polyurethane engine steady bushing for the MK1. Can look up a price if you want.
Thanks Jon I was after the rear engine mount. I have nolathane for the 2 side ones and the front and just a standard rear one at the moment.
I`m just worried I may break it.
I did however just fit the K Bar under the car, which makes it stiffer and means the engine will only drop an inch if the mount breaks.

A Pic of the back seat. Its done, secured and stitched.
Still a few wrinkles, but no-one has sat in it yet.
Its a thousand times better than the faded old 1986 Scirocco GT seat.
And I get badboy matching front ones

Took the Mrs and 2 boys for a drive round some country lanes.
I reckon it feels a bit slow from the drivers seat, but the wife tells me its fast from where she was sitting. We were 4 up too.
I reckon its running a wee bit rich, so am gonna try a different Lambda tomorrow. That might get me a bit more speed
TDI Gearbox is nicely matched to the engine and clutch and box feel strong. Engine mount is holding up well too.
Exhaust note is nice, deep and throaty. I wonder if it is too free flowing and if I would go faster with more backpressure.
Interior has a hundred squeaks and rattles , future work for me I reckon.
I`m totally ready for a cruise, bring it on.
