Lovely example mate. Good luck with the project.
My borther bought a Mk1 Storm last year. Colour's awful (imo) but she's a minter and he loves her.
Must have been a brown one. I had a Mk2 storm, 1985 in the UK, blue with blue leather. God I loved her. Broke my heart to leave her in the uk.

Finally pulled the rocco out from storage.
Fitted some 195/45/16 tyres to the 7.5 inch wide borbets, which gave a nice curve and then dropped it 40mm with some springs from the UK.
Sweet. It would look good lower, but I want to be able to drive it.
Just passed a blueslip, rego soon.
Also scored a 20VT engine which is just gagging to be rebilt and stuffed in the rocco.
Pics soon.

Grant I totally want to. Was up late last night reading Kirstens rocco page.
I have an AEB engine, with the predrilled holes for the side mount and will probably just use a TDI 020 gearbox. Should be strong enough with good ratios. Only issue is whether I`m able to close the bonnet.
Will probably try it after the Nats.
Couple of Pics of the Rocco with New Tyres (Old from the Wifes car actually) and with the lowered springs. I was hoping for more lowness, but maybe they will settle? Or bigger tyres? What do you blokes reckon?
Oh and Numberplates. Hoorah. Legal and with half a week spare.

Another picture with less of a gloss. Car needs paint, a faster engine and a new interior. Then it will be Phat.
I reckon the springs are still too high. Might have to get the grinder out.
I still love the shape of it though, and the reaction of passers by trying to work out what it is.

A good cut and polish looks by the photo might help, but photos can be deceiving. Pity I sold all my detail and paint stuff. Use Autoglym bumper restore on your plastic bits.
