Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

never had time to strip the rear struts out so dropped the bottom rings out and chopped the helpers off.If I need to refit for whatever ive got reams of helpers from other FK's lying about anyway
immediately after, straight off the jacks and a 60ft run to check for scrubbage
gave it a little wash
and another couple with my mates 16v
Id been planning on doing a timing belt and tensioner as its been squealing a bit lately but been putting it off as ive been feeling sick the last couple of weeks which id put down to stressing bout stuff but starting it up for the run to work it was excessively squealing so popped the hood and noticed the rubber hoses at the fuel rail are starting to perish and are weeping onto the tensioner subsequently flooding the cabin with fumes and probably the real reason ive been getting plagued with migraines and stuff so taking a half day today to replace the fuel hoses then start rolling the new 16v fenders to have them ready to pop on next weekend

couple pics from last couple meets
old height
last nights meet
en route to fixing my friends jetta en route to the meet(his car was going for its tags so was at a bad height and was pre new bumper/valance/insert)
rolled the new arches,16v fenders, and stone chipped the death out them
not as pinched as id hoped tbh but will do. Once theyre on ill be able to get proper measurements for my own adaptors for the bentleys and hopefully knock some off the front camber from the current set up

Done a deal with some car bits I had lying about for some bodywork. Was kinda hesitant as ive never seen any of the guys work but he paints the cars for the local Bentley garage(he owns a mk1 cab)so figured it was worth a shout.Dropped it off yesterday at 5pm....

Up to date and very happy going by the pictures.Seems ill be getting it back tomorrow night or monday but the painters already said he wants it back to sort out a couple other bits as hes unhappy with the rest of the car now the front is fresh. The painter said the replacement door was almost an exact match which was a bonus but seeing what I can do in a further work for work trade.
Going to neaten up the old 90mm spoiler with a ghetto slice and try and find the cash for a new front grill(broke the clips in the spin back in the snow)and going to get him to mix up extra paint during the next hit to do a spoon rear spoiler when I can afford one but I need to get my own custom adaptors(still on the loaners)to sort out the mad front tuck, especially on the new front fenders, and bring the back in a hair so I can bring it down a bit more
