  • Bluetooth Music Streaming Issue on New BT Module

    Hi,

    I bought this:

    Bluetooth KIT 3C8035730C - Retrofit -

and installed it on the weekend.

From a phone point of view everything works fine.

But from a Music point of view no sound is coming out.

On the RNS510 i get the BT symbol in media and song name / track showing both on RNS and MFD.

    But no sound?

    Anyone seen this before?

Could be a loose pin in the harness, or could be that your phone is muting music output over BT, might be something else.
I'd first try reseating the connector to the BT module, then try another phone.

I've had a harness that had some loose pins in it before.
I had to pull the connector block (at the BT module end) apart and push some of the pins in properly.
Wasn't exhibiting your symptom however its easy to at least check.

Then I'd be checking for fault codes with VCDS or any strange coding options that might have been set inadvertently.
