Please HELP with RCD510 with 9w7 retrofit for T5 Caravelle

Hi guys,

Really need your expertise here.

I bought a MY2012 T5 Caravelle (7E)

Bought;
1) RCD510 (5KO 035 190)
2) 9w7 (5K0 035 730 D)
3) genuine harness and mic

Installed it all in (wasn't too hard)

The radio works well, even the OPS shows the rear sensors on the screen with no VAGCOM coding.

however when i tried to change the long code for the CANBUS 19 to include 77 it wasn't there, in fact there were only 3 Bytes to choose from....

You need to go to the installation list on newer gateways, not just coding. It's easier to work with.

Thanks for that, I certainly added 77 in the list, but it's not showing up in the canbus as a byte

What is the actual question? You have telephone detected.

You have a device at address 77. You can code it if you need to (in most cases no need to change any coding on the telephone modules)

You will see the long code selections for 77 should be in byte 5 but in my control module I only have the first 3 bytes

Is there a long code I could enter here that will make reference to byte 5? I tried to enter 00000000 for bytes 3 and 4 and then added the binary for byte 5 as 01000110 but then it would not accept the long code, error 31

That's a different BT unit to what you have. Just use the long coding helper in VCDS to change settings. Is there some functionality which is not working right now?
