2011 Multivan bluetooth retro fit

Good morning everyone
Looking into fitting bluetooth to my van. Currently have a RCD310 but will be getting a RNS510 in the next few months. What kit do i need and how do I install it?

I am going to be doing exactly this on my new (to me) MY11 T5.2 Multivan. The OEM kit you need is called the 9W7 with part number 7P6 035 730 - the letters denote the version, with later letters being better, adding A2DP bluetooth audio control support etc. Check eBay they are all over the place, or carsystems.pl from Poland, also JKU sells them from here in Australia with warranty.

I am starting a thread with pictures etc. once I get it all done over in the Transporter subforum.

Yep 9w7 is what you want..9w2 wont display on rcd510

Keep an eye out for RNS315s as well. They have built in bluetooth (and satnav) though they have a smaller screen than the RNS510s. Would be a cheaper retrofit .....

I did this & took some photos. 9W7 unit is behind dash and microphone is center roof dome light console. See my sig/thread in the Transporter forum. The mic. placement in particular (I didn't need the extra trim piece for the mic VW use in the newer T5.2 vans)
