OK guys, I have heard from Rob at Auspacks and due to health issues he has closed his business.
So lets find anothersupplier that can offer warrantees and follow up.
Cheers, Andrew

Thanks for the update. Just as I suspected, but was willing to give the benefit of the doubt.
I think I will try Happiness Trading, in Sydney. They are apparently at Rockdale, and you can pickup. They will also give 5% discount for pickup, if you deal outside of ebay. I have a contact if anyone wants it.
Only thing to sort out is ..
1. Are they really "plug N play"? I would think that there are a few wires to sort out, such as Reverse light loom for a camera if used.
2. Is it the same product as the one Auspack (rip) had?
3. Who in Sydney can install these?
My reverse cam was my only drama finding the correct wire out of about 15 leading to the tailgate. I ended up removing the trim and running a wire from the back of the globe. The head unit was plug and play.
If anyone can tell me which wire to splice into for the reverse light, it would save a lot of time!
Has anyone been in touch with Happiness Trading? I have a work mate who is going to Sydney in a few weeks, and I was wondering what the chances are that a "pick-up" could be arranged.

I hope to visit their premises tomorrow to see the unit and possibly purchase.
Call Terry 0433 309222 Pickup is available
I have noticed that these are NOT the same unit that Auspack had,as the facia is different. Has different buttons down each side.
I have sent Terry an SMS. Just in case he doesn't get it, can you find out how much each package weighs (box + contents) and the external dimensions of each box.

GTIMK5, just a quick question if your AM radio has reception. I occasionally use AM for the Footy but have no AM reception using the Brown antenna wire. I read somewhere that the correct (roof) aerial is the beige one however one is brown and the other is white
And yes...I read that post you referred to. Need to get the roof aerial, and it's the beige one.
Brown or White? White or Brown?
OK.
I have purchased the Happiness Trading unit. It appears to look the part, and have just finished the first install. I will detail why I call it 1st install later.
The unit is virtually plug and play and fits quite nicely. Only problem I have initially seen is that the facia is black, so it does not meld seamlessly with the VW gray dash panels. Still, it is not that odd looking.
It comes with a Canbus adapter, IPod lead, and two sets of leads for both Video IN and Video OUT as well as Satnav receiver. There is only 1 radio antenna jack, which plugs straight into the VW plug. (Is there such a thing as a double adapter to enable both the VW leads to convert to one?)
On startup, it went through the various menu's Radio, TV, Phone, Nav, IPOD. The DVD isn't working, but I assume that is because I did not earth out the handbrake wire. (I think it is an "-", rather than a "+" that I need to connect).
The nav is R66, which initially looks crap. It runs off a micro SD card which sits in the front panel. I installed the Nav antenna on some double sided tape just under the grill in the centre of the dash. It has a few metres of cable, so you can mount just about anywhere. It detected sats within a few seconds of startup.
The first mobile phone attempt to connect via blutooth was a motorola. It could not be detected. I tried a new HTC, and had no problem finding it, again within seconds.
Audio quality was a little disappointing, but maybe if I tweak a few buttons it will come good.
All up, because it being the first time I pulled the dash apart, it took about 1 hour to install. I think I could do it in 30mins now.
I will pull out again tomorrow to see if I can get the DVD running by earthing the handbrake wire.
The volume controls on the steering wheel work, but it did not appear that the phone button was working, but this may be it is used only to answer an incoming call.
Price, for cash was $760.
I'm wondering......if the interior of the TDI is a different "shade" than that of the .:R?
Guess your photo tomorrow will reveal all
