So has anyone looked at these ones ? Look very simular to the AV9000, comes with reverse cam ans 2gb sdcard with Aussie iGo and TomTom pre installed.. Looks good, just need to shift my brand new HTC Tytn II frst Might whack that on Ebay over the weekend

Gtimv5, how much of a wait to see if you can indeed take over from Auspack ?? ETA on having units ready to ship ?

By the way, the AVC also has a remote control with it too. The sound drops out when you recieve calls on the bluetooth as it does when selecting reverse and using the reverse camera. You do not need the unit switched on for the camera to work either!

Can you find out whether the phone steering wheel button works on your unit?
I suspect it does not, as it appears very few of them can integrate fully with the Golf.
I suspect, for all these units, you also need another adapter. I know VW do a kit, but that is over $1,000.
I also believe Parrot do one, but have no price on that as yet.

If you do go into importing units, I wish you all the very best. It can be a big step, and always a little uncertainity about how your product will be received.

The phone button on mine swiches from thee different functions, ie, radio, dvd, aux ect.
Mute and volume work as per std.
It is a big step and one that could cause a lot more work that my one man workshop already has.
(See, 7.10 start this morning to catch up! Damn early Passat struts!!! )

Ok guys,
Looks like I will get this off the ground.
The cost to your door should be aproximately $850 delivered to you.
there is a lot to sort out and I hopefully expect to have them here within 3 weeks.
I dont want to get burned at all by getting in heaps of them and not being able to sell them so I will need definate expressions of interest in the
AVC 9000's.
They will come with reverse cameras, remote controls and Windows 5.
I think they come with the Tom tom setup too now but will verify this as soon as the ones turn up here this week that I ordered previously.

I am so close to organising one off Ebay but would obviously love to support a local supplier. What I'm saying is if you are 99% sure of having stock within the next 3 weeks I will wait. I have been holding off waiting to hear what you were going to be doing.

Have you given any thought as to wether the supplier will drop-ship for you ? We pay you, you place the order and they deliver to our address. Would save you having to repack and reship etc. Might already be like that anyway. If you had one right now I'd take one, but...So long as we are talking within 3 weeks time them I'm a definate starter.
