Its the same with mine ,it only shows main intersections ,road names,
At least with the V5 it showed the street names as you drove past ?

Try with a DVD and imgburn at slow speed Where did you get the image from that you burnt

That's the link I used. Will try this weekend using a DVD instead of a CD.

Every thing is ok I had the map on 3D once I went to 2 D it showed all the side streets ,

Doesnt help though as I usually use 3D when navigating

Well, you learn something new everyday. Have always had my map in 3D mode since I got the car 12 months ago Just assumed the lack of street names was another manifestation of the cr**py maps VAG issue. After reading this thread, put my map in 2D mode on the way home from work today and discovered it does indeed have street names!!

I am seeing street names in 3D mode, only the close roads around the car, it's good enough for me
In 2D mode all streets shown have the street name

Nope not getting any street names what so ever. Tried burning another CD but grtting same problem. Reinstalled V6 Maps and street names reappeared. V6 map has also lost all textures with just the single background colour

Have re-downloaded using a different link and burnt to DVD, all working good now with street names and background textures.

Not sure whether it was the link or the fact I used a DVD instead of a CD-R that got it working properly
