Wheelspin will only effect 0-400m (distance) not the 0-100 (time). FIS+ just starts the timer when it detects that you have started and stops the timer when you get to the preset speed (100). That is unles you're wheel-spinning up to 100km/hr...

I've got my car booked in for some more mods and wanted to get a pre and post tune result.

I did a couple of runs and was within .001 so whether that's luck or just really good driving I'm not sure

I like how they often say the FIS doesn't have anything to do with bluetooth when we post problems but now sure enough there are fixes for it.

OK, updated to 3.3 White dot firmware. Reset the unit. Scanned with VCDS to add a log to the post I may put on the Polar forums. I have just noticed that I have a intermittent luggage compartment light issue. I have an LED globe in there. Wondering if this is breaking the communication cycle and powering down the FIS when the car is locked. I have refitted the halogen globe to the boot light, re-synched the Polar, cleared all codes with VCDS and have now locked the car and walked away for half an hour.

The system works fine if I unplug the black box and reconnect it. The only issue is it has a connection issue with the RNS if it is left for over 20 minutes or so.

I checked with VCDS and came up with a couple of fault codes yesterday. One in 09 - Cental Electrics saying something like "Load management intervention", a hard fault. The other is in 19 - Canbus and is "communication error with infotainmnet unit".

I have the full codes on my other computer and will do as you guys suggest and post on the Polar forums. I know someone who also has the same unit so I may try and swap it over to identify if it is a wiring issue or a Polar issue.

I'll also check the connections when the car gets back from service this morning.

Did you updated to the latest firmware?

its best to clear all the codes and start over. they may be unrelated, or fixed since firmware upgrades.

as already mentioned, seek them out on the forum!

Hmm. I reset the screen and no different.

If I lock the car and go back 20 mins later the radio does not come on with the ignition and the MFD does not search for the phone. Only 3 screens available in the MFD are the service status screen, the setup convenience & lighting screen and the Speedo display. When I switch the RNS on and push the phone button it says no phone connected. It seems like the unit is going to sleep after 10 mins or so and also switching the radio off. Only way to get it to wake up is to undo the power cable to it and reconnect it. Then the RNS displays the "diagnostics connected" screen and the MFD bursts into life with the Polar FIS screen.

If you have a problem I'd recommend updating to the very latest firmware - 0.3.3b0W - ENGLISH version (this was latest beta firmware from last week).

Then confirm that this behaves the same (i.e. the latest available firmware exhibits the issue).

Post your problem with as much detail as possible (include autoscan if you have VCDS) to the auto-polar forum

I would recommend making a fresh thread with your problem rather than tacking onto an existing thread.

The developers are very active on this forum and generally respond on the same day. If they are online at the time there's even a chat option on the forum which can be useful for getting a quick response to an issue.

I rekon also try going through the menus and reset to factory.

if you came from an early firmware, there could be old information in there stuffing it up

Make sure the connections are tight, something is preventing the radio, bluetooth, etc from talking with the gateway. Or the unit itself has crashed and you need to disconnect the battery or relevant fuse for 2 mins. Have you got the latest firmware installed? Haven't accidentally chosen the red MFD firmware for your white MFD car?
