Is new firmware include text to.speech option. I have rns-510 with 5xxx firmware and still can not.enable that feature...

There is no full text to speech as in 'In 200 metres, turn left into Smith St.'
There is limited implementation of, 'In 200m, turn left towards Funkytown.' It's not configurable. Try changing the voice to/from English male (setup-> system-> language)

Hi I have tried downloading the 5238 firmware a number of times from gti.com but it keeps failing around half way, do you know of any other source?
I managed to download the old x4020 firmware, and burnt the iso to a DVD but when i power up the rns510 it does not seem to read anything of the disc, i believe it attempts to read the disc but then just powers down and keeps cycling to a reboot.
Any help would be appreciated.Comment

Try the Josi recovery firmware CD.
