I am sure I found a very good photo guide on the VWVortex forums, but cannoit now locate it.
You might try this link which is a rough guide.

The only tools you require is a 20TORX and a flat blade screwdriver.
In the above link, start at the Radio Removal section.

      A loose guide is
      1. Remove the Light Sensor (no screws. Just prise it up)
      2. Remove the 1 screw under the Sensor
      3. Remove the grill (No more screws. Just prise it up carefully)
      4. Remove the 2 torx screws holding the lower panel. Then prise it up.
      5. Remove the 2 screws on the front vent, and gently prise it away from the dash.
      6. Remove the 4 screws holding the radio in place.
      7. Lift out radio, and unclip Can connector.

I'm thinking of getting a small STB setup in the boot area, under parcel shelf and connect the tv antenna to that.. Mount it on the rear parcel shelf.. Umm dunno if its gunna be worth the effort Still, gotta run the reverse camera cable, might as well kill 2 birds ...
