  • Yes and no. It depends on what brakes, suspension, swaybars, and ECU you get.

There is more than one Brembo option, even with the "4 pot" info you've provided. You have the "OEM Brembo kit" level, then you have their aftermarket kits which come in one piece, and two piece kits, and obviously different sizes etc. Guy_H has indicated that a suitable Brembo with one piece rotor is $3200 for the new Polo GTI. But the two piece version could be over a grand more. (For example, on the previous Polo GTI the Brembo kits were $3750 and $5250)

Then with suspension, there are numerous brands and "levels of kit".
Same with swaybars, same with ECUs.

        • Cheers Ian, nice to catch up!

The little Polo has now been belted by a pro driver & experienced journalists & run head to head with other hot FWD hatches at Wakefield.

In about 6 weeks time we will get to see how it performs in all aspects. As a hint, the car used for the "base line" was a new Ford Focus RS Turbo. An awesome machine in its own right!

Now we have everything tested, we will be working on putting our stuff into production (intake / intercooler / exhaust / tune / swaybars).

The base Polo Brembo 4 pot stage 1's will be just over 3k, stage 2 should be just over 4k.

The suspension (we don't supply) we purchased (H&R monotube) is approx $3300.

            Hope that helps!

My spider sense tells me that your little PUG performed extremely well

              • Guy_H also has a Peugeot? I don't think so....

(and if you were referring to the Polo as a PUG, you better find another nick name, because the French already have that one... )

                • I think he meant "Pog", which I thought is the nickname for the polo.

Good grief Corey, you say tomato I say potato It would be interesting to see how the POG performed, even in comparison to Guys Peugeot?

                    • Lol... ok, so you meant POG. That's makes more sense than talking about Peugeots in a Polo forum

                          • Had my APR Stage 1 done today ... when your Polo GTI arrives drive it around for a week and then take it to APR. I've been smiling all afternoon, it's quick. The traction control has to do a bit more work when you're getting into it but I'm learning to work with it. If you're more careful putting the foot down out of the corners everything works together. The air intake will be next.

This upgrade is a must for any GTI owner!

There's always a need to do testing on multiple cars before officially releasing a product.
