Here's an example of a pretty good lap.

Green is acceleration, Red is braking and blue is coasting.

I used to see a lot of blue on previous outings.

Turn 1 isn't ideal on this lap but the rest of the circuit is pretty good, especially the acceleration all the way from turn 10 through to turn 1

Last couple of races I've had a small oil leak from around the distributor. I can't really see a good reason for it other than excessive crankcase pressure.

I'm also getting a bit of a leak from one of the pulleys too.

I replaced the dizzy seals and added some non hardening sealant to address the obvious source.

Than I added a breather to the plate I'd made to block off the factory breather. (Hmm, maybe should have done that when I made the plate)

Here it is along with some new hose I picked up today.







White's off for a wheel alignment next Wednesday, the steering wheel doesn't point straight ahead any more

Yep, Wheel alignment time. I was getting tyres and alignment done on the Bora so I took white along for an alignment too, it's been a while.

Craig was nice enough to align the Golf for free, in return I'm running his stickers on the car

It's a long drive to Winton, I'll probably go up the night before.

Broke down there last night. Heaps of car trailers in town (of course). The towey said drifters keep him in business, cos he has to tow their cars back to melb when they blow up or crash

Just back, pretty tired.

Interesting track that Winton, not terribly high speed but very technical with lots of corners.

Got my times down to 1:49

Broke one pair of sunglasses and one gearbox.

Last round out the box jammed in third. PITA!

That's a pain to fix too as the box won't come apart unless you put it into neutral.

Here's some video I took of the races.

It's just the first 15 minutes of each session so you miss the last couple of laps of each session but you'll get the idea.

Excuse the shocking driving, it's my fist time out on this track.

By the end of the day I figured out that setting to set the front shocks on maximum firmness helped heaps with the body roll.

Popped my spare gearbox in today so I can get the one that was in there repaired.
