Yeah the ports aren't too bad. I need to read up on it so i can do it myself from now on. (Porting wise)
Oh, i've got a TT red annodised billet alloy adjustable timing gear coming from the states, too. And a Bentley Mk2 Golf workshop manual (For the engine..)
Did you bid on the tt cams aswell that i found for you? Good to see you scored the cam gear! I see the light weight lifters are looking nice in their bores. Would be interesting to weight the lifters and compare how much lighter than the originals they are?
Head looks good man! Did you check how much wear is in your valve guides? Use a dial indicator on the valve head, their is a spec for how much play they can have at a certain opening height before need of replacement but i cant remember it off the top of my head. I only menmtion this as the guides have been shortened with the porting....

The tt cams were the crappy just above standard cams. I need atleast 276's, and they're very hard to find anywhere other than TT.
I did the hand weigh test with the lifters and there's a hell of a difference between them, however that is a good idea and i will weigh them at work in the lab when i get a chance.
The head is a low K head and the guides were checked by andy, and he said they were fine. Bonk was pretty stern about knocking the guides down, and he said the valves would be fine. After all, i'm not looking to punch 200 thousand kms out of it..
Woohoo! Tis looking good Preeny, get some more hot weather into you and get into geaR!
Hahaha its getting there.
Another couple of weeks and it'll be prime. Plus i've gotta make a blower pulley adapter for a guy and some other stuff related to my business, so that'll have to happen first.
