Is that a genuine anniversary kit you have on in that first pic or a rep?
Front is another plastic valance, not sure what it was called but it's not anniversary (anniversary is smoother).
    Rear is a genuine though.

I thought something about it looked different, it looks so nice man. This gives me inspiration to finally install my kit

Was never happy with the setup in the rear (looks + functionality - if I take out the sub the amp rack was still in the way).

Got to spend a heap more time on everything and it's paying off.

I've also relocated the battery to the spare wheel well as it never fit properly in the engine bay (d31a).

In terms of looks for the new setup, the fibreglass part will be painted for ILV as I won't have enough time to get it trimmed. I will eventually get it trimmed in fake leather.
The false floor still needs a window cutout but the false floor and side trims will be trimmed in black carpet.

Beauty of this setup is that I've still got a heap of room, and I can take the subs out easily.
Disadvantage though is that I won't have deep bass like I did (not enough volume to tune low) so I'll eventually need to get some new subwoofers.

anyway, the bonet of my car looks like mat silver with lots of stone chips because the previous owner gave it a hard time...I guess...lol
the car looks pretty shining after wash every time but i still can see lots of scratches and some paint job done to it...
i'm thinking about palladium silver (similar like yours) and here comes to my question:
How much is the respray job for your mk4?

                Cheers

I was working at the place at that time, so I only needed to pay for paint (Glasurit) and some labor (rubbed most the car back myself), so what I could tell you and what it actually costs is going to be way out of the ballpark figure.

A respray including door jams is a heap more expensive compared with outside only.

                    MK4 1.6 auto to manual VR6

                    Thread update:

                    Conversion itself is complete

2.5" exhaust, 1 resonater, stainless (rear) muffler

                    20-100 6.23s

So, the time has almost arrived to start my conversion.

                    I'm doing a VR6 conversion on the Golf, I have a few reasons but the main two reasons are;
The dreadful TCC slip on the 01M and that I'd also like some more power.
Transmission I could replace, but for the money I'd eventually run into the same problem and that does not solve the power issue.

It will be done in 2 stages:
                    1. Standard VR6 and Manual conversion (V5 Gearbox) - to be done within the next couple of months hopefully.
                    2. Head swap - will be doing a P&P on the head and matching intake/exhaust manifolds ports - cams, intake/exhaust to go along with.

The first stage should be fairly straight forward, need to do some wiring but that should be pretty simple (I hope), if I get stuck there's a whole auto to manual thread on vortex.

*Insert blah blah blah you could just buy a 1.8t comment here*
Could have done a 1.8T, but 'dat sound' cannot be replaced.

Donor car (V5 Manual) and 24v VR6 engine have been purchased.

Here's a picture of my car at the moment:

Donor car for the gearbox and various interior pieces:

This weekend will consist of interior swapping, retrofitting the heated seats and removing my CarPC/stereo.

                    Things I have already done:
                    312mm front brakes

yea, okay. so let's put in this way...how much will it cost to respray the whole car like what you've done to your mk4?

                          Cheers
