Did you replace the tiny bearing that lives inside the gearbox input shaft as well as the seal ?? good idea to while it was apart... ??
    Lots of MK 1 Scirocco's...

If it aint a MK 1 then it must be a donor car ??

    Cheers,
    Grant...

Dont know if we're talking about the same thing Grant but I changed the copper-looking gear/bush behind that little seal.

Looks like a great conversion on a good looking Perth Mk1!
I'll Prob be looking to do something similar when my Standard engine decides to give up.
Where did you manage to find your Ronal Turbos?

I was lucky to buy them with the car but you can score a set from Rimstyle in the UK. Carshine in OZ can also get them but at twice the price as to ordering it direct from the UK, thats without tyres!!!(think it was $530/wheel). Also i think there's a guy on here that got a set for sale.

Ok, time for a update. Been slacking the past couple of days but got a couple items to tick off the checklist.

Got the old engine and gearbox out. Busy getting the manifold, downpipe and driveshafts out now.

Finally the UPS fairy arrived and brought me this....

              Spankin new Borg warner K04-001

Will get it bolted on tonight and maybe get the engine in as well.

              Cheers

Good luck bolting that in. I will be interested to see how it clears the Booster and linkage bar setup.

Matt there's enough space at the back to park a bus in! Check it...(Sorry for the crappy pics)

Everything clears well with nothing touching or rubbing anywhere.

                    Cheers
