12.613 @ 114.35mph is a great time Guy_H.
Now you just need to have a go with a drag specific setup rather than simply using your circuit setup! Do you feel there is another tenth or two to gained by those changes? Or not that much of a difference?

Hey Jase, There were a few Falcons & commodores scratching their heads
Corey, I reckon there is an 11 in it if we could be bothered changing a heap of stuff. Put the baby seats back in & James drove it home again - its pretty versatile & in the same basic setup it has run 1.08.9 at Wakefield.

What 60' time did you get guy?Originally posted by Guy_H View PostHey Jase, There were a few Falcons & commodores scratching their heads

Drag slicks will help you get off the line.... every 1/10th to 60' = 2/10ths at the end of the track..
I think your time is bang on for the MPH you ran, there might be a few /10ths in it but you really need to be knocking on the door of 118-120 mph to crack 11's

1.97 was the best 60 foot. Some of the experienced FWDers (Honda dudes) reckon a 1.6 60 foot should be the go. How do you get more MPH? surely a better launch would get a better MPH - it was still accelerating across the line hard. Anyway, we only got to do a handful of runs until someone oiled the track down. Maybe we can sort some stuff with our next car

A sub-2.0 is still a very respectable 60 foot time. As far as terminal speed is concerned, I've read that this particular figure is always a good indicator of a car's true performance potential, and isn't affected as much by a bad launch as a 0-100 or quarter mile time is. So, to get a higher terminal velocity, you need more power or less weight. But maybe the perfect launch on race slicks could nett you a low 12s as-is!Originally posted by Guy_H View Post1.97 was the best 60 foot.
