        Best run for today

13.78 @ 101.6mph 2.2 60 ft. Still very slow take off as I didn't want to just rev it up & dump it & break it "AGAIN!", slight wheel spin & Mild clutch slip.

I reckon with a proper race clutch, alittle bit more track time & a few suspension tweaks there is still a few tenth's in it.

        13.7 pass

Fastest Mk1 around in street trim i'd imagine. Definitely the fastest 8v.

                    Bora did 15.8@87mph with 2.3 60' today.
To be honest its a fair bit slower than I expected

Oh well, will keep the bora for a comfy cruiser and build something better for going fast in.

For what it is 15.8 is fine! Dont feel bad bro the Bora's are a great car, there is somethign about them that I love! And as you said it is more of a grand tourer than drag car anyways

yeah, hard when the last car was 10mph and 1.5 seconds faster down the strip.
As you say, its not really made for going quick, bit of a reality check

Very good time, the ultimate sleeper .... I know what you mean break "AGAIN" ..... My Mk1 broke something almost every time it went to the strip .... and it was almost always something DIFFERENT than before .....

                            Agree'd!

If possible, I reckon it would be a good idea to create a sticky with a couple of classes

                            eg.

                            top ten of

                            FWD

                            AWD

                            Overall

time, mph, 60ft, car, engine, mods, weight if known, tyres, username

                            eg.

                            13.78@101/2.2/76 mk1/1.8L/T3/approx 2200(1000kg)205.55R14 - golfworx

Time slip attatched would also be recommended for eligibility purposes too

                                Hell yes!

                                Thanks Jason!

You may have to go through the thread again to post up all the times already posted so far.

Still reckon a copy of the time slip is needed.

G-Tech , stopwatch or any other times don't count.

Only interested in "actual" 1/4 mile slips.
