Went back to Willowbank the other night. Managed a 13.6 which is the same as my personal best. It was 10 degrees warmer this time, and I've perfected my gearshift timing so hopefully I have a touch more time to take off.
Seb thanks for that, whats the mods etc so I can update that front page? Or if you want to put in the format on the front page and save me the effort it would be appreciated

Nice work mate, you should come along to dyno day Sat morning.
I'd love to but I'm in Mackay for work. I'm trying to organise to get over to HP sometime soon for a dyno run, so I'll be able to see how I stack up eventually
I think Steve's car could run a similar time too but with no additional hardware here's what worries me about his car if I let it happen..
-Restrictive dump pipe and stock cat means bigger back pressure and much higher EGT's i.e potential knock
-A higher manifold pressure than 22 psi boost means a hotter charge being consumed especially with the stock FMIC i.e potential knock
-Stock intake means hotter air being consumed not too much of a worry but still see above
-Stock HPFP means a potential lean condition at lower RPM's
The heat thing is a real issue winter lets you get away with a lot but still when you log the car after tuning it you have to allow for summer, poor fuel and some mistreatment.
Man dynos have way more variables than a qtr mile u cannot change how fast/slow a second is that's why I love it, you also can't change ur mph at the end of it

Steve the owner of the R that we had with 197 kw ATW with the first basic R1 file on it. took me ages to wind the power down a bit too.
The MPH figure at the end of the quarter is the true power indicator it will never vary by much no matter how badly you launch the car and maybe given its only 103.x I might be being a little harsh. I'm going to edit the previous post a bit, he got a great launch too.
You of all people know its not just about a power number telling the story if a tune might cause issues or not
Helluva lot more complicated but you know that as do most people
Despite what some may say about Internet tunes, some suppliers have some great skills and their coding techniques and capability is not necessarily used by everyone
I've seen some leaned out, overboosted results from various tuners on here and the other forum. Let's hope those tunes don't come back to bite the owners when summer hits and track use goes up
I'm an absolute noob on this stuff other than previous tuned cars I've owned and reading I've done plus talking with tuners but you have the experience and real life knowledge so I'll go by what you say
