 Hi Guys

I was pointed to this thread regarding the comments about Opti-Coat. Seem there are a lot of accusations (for lack of a better term) being thrown around, possibly by people who know very little, if anything, about the product.

I don't want this to turn into SPAM so I'll be brief as possible.

Regarding the (optional) warranty, we are quite open about its terms and conditions. It is nothing more than your standard "run-of-the-mill" warranty that you will find in this industry and we straight out tell people that when they ask.

Wash it with whatever chemicals you like. Opti-Coat doesn't care. Don't use brushes, abrasive cloths etc. You will damage it over time. Bird acids have only been tested in the shorter term (multiple weeks). If you leave it on there for months we can't guarantee what will happen.

The service isn't a reapplication of the product. It ensures that the coating is kept to the standard it should be. Bonded contamination is removed and the car is professionally cleaned. Again, the warranty is optional.

We aren't in the business of trying to provide the cheapest "paint protection" possible. Our business with you, is providing a product that is arguably the best at what it does and then maintaining it.

Any comments about the chemical properties of the product and what it actually is, or its durability well the haters can speculate all they like.

I just hope this clears up any misunderstandings about the warranty some members have purchased.

Can't agree more with your first couple of lines. Always fascinated me how a product can be bagged with little to no facts to back up some statements. Opinions are fine but when it borders on hinting that anyone that has the product applied is being taken for a ride and that they are very very concerned for us is offensive.

Here's some slideshows of the beading on my car 6 months after the opticoat was applied.

First pic is the car unwashed (to show about a month's worth of dust)
Second pic is after a pressure rinse
Third pic is after optimum car wash and pressure rinse.
I did not do anything more than that, the car was dried after the camera was put away

In the last pic of the last slideshow, the bonnet looks dry as the water sheeted off faster than i could get the camera out.

Well I had full front Ventureshield fitted yesterday and all I can say is it's come up better than I thought it would. I was expecting to see a drop in the gloss finish but it has enhanced it and gave it alot of depth. I had the cutting pattern modified so it covers the bumper 100%. I presented the car without front number plate so there is no lines/seams running around the plate. A mate of mine was looking over the car and didn't notice it was fitted until I pointed it out and showed him. So one very happy customer.Golf R, Rising Blue, 5 Door, DSG and some extra fruit.
