Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Do like me, and search on firesport.com or ebay etc, till you find someone who sells CF vinyls etc. I bought a sheet of 1x1 for around 50 and was very happy with it.

I vote, DO THE VINYL DUDE !!
Yeah i'm thinking of doing the black roof thang after seeing missvuks in the nationals gallery.

emailed a few places for quotes, we'll see how it goes.

I want to make my bonnet black...Paint jobs are pretty pricey specially if your like me and don't know anyone in the game.

I do however have a mate who I found out has done vinyl wrapping before and says if I can get the stuff he can do it.

Can anyone give me a heads up? I've read a bit on it so far and done a forum search but not alot of info.

        Cheers
I just recently had my roof vinyl wrapped in satin black and my front bumper lip in carbon fibre.

NOT only does the car look so unique though sets you apart from the other cars.

No doubt, if you do the wrap cheap or over do it, it may look over kill, as well as, it is a personal choice as well.

As for me, I love it...

Just had another car wrapped so thought I'd share the results.

Before (not the best photo but I realised I hadn't bothered to take a photo of this car in the 3 or so years we've owned it):

Well they are Crows after all - seemed fitting to have them as mascots.

I dropped the car off on Friday afternoon and picked it up this morning - so about 3 days elapsed. Not sure how many hours work it actually took to do the work however. That was inclusive of the sign writing on top of the vinyl wrap.
