    So... This happened today
RACQ has ordered a new OEM screen, and it will need to be Re-Calibrated as I have Tech pack
35mm Dia so they wont repair it.

GFB DVX installed... Sounds like a rally car from the 90s now Thanks to a fellow member, However it is illegal to Vent to atmospheric in QLD so 0 vent while on road
Will need to re run the catch can hose as it doesn't look healthy is current spot

Also put the JB4 back to Map 6 with a max of 22psi, Ive got happy laps in a few weeks to tune it up a bit more.

Big day today, but Unfortunately didn't have time to get progress photos.

Day started with a wheel alignment, was out a bit.

Downpipe out and heat wrapped, sounds a lot better now, it's lost its tinny-ness.

Forge turbo blanket on, needed to remove heat shield, like 4 bolts.

Both these should keep some heat out.

CTS oil housing with cooling fins, oil temp was a touch lower on the first drive, and it seemed to take a little longer to go from 90 to max temp.

Also cut the other half of the front grill out, which should help with air flow...

While the car was in stands, dropped the VAQ Diff oil and replaced the 2 bolts and about 250-300ml of new oil.

Now to tune the JB4 and have emailed BMS for tuning review.

Also the HPA puck has blown out but a replacement is on the way. So great service from them.

Got the GFB DVX coming too to help throttle response and the dvx has a blow off valve so that should be fun....

So much for not having much planned...
Fedex shipment arrived at work today from ESC tuning, with the CTS oil cooling housing and a forge turbo blanket. I've got some exhaust wrap also coming and plan to wrap the CTS downpipe.

Will do a diff service as well as the car will be in stands to remove the downpipe.

Also in the list is the cut out the grill to increase the flow by 50%

I'll grab some photos, should be doing it this weekend.

Did a tyre rotation today, pulled the pads and they were nearly on the wear indicators, another member was helping and had a 2nd hand set he had swapped out due to track performance wasn't that good, Remsa pads. Rotors were still with in spec so will see how they go. Quick brake bleed as well.

Once the rotors are out of spec, I'll prob get a set of DBA T3 slotted.

Nothing else really planned for a while.
Intercooler and real tune is still in the list, along with the LCA and new tyres....

I've had a tune done to my 162tsi manual and 4-5-6 is starting to slip! Very keen to look at clutch options.
OH NO not slip! sorry for your lost mate. Mine got to the point I couldn't use ACC on the motorway lol

NPC heavy duty Organic Clutch (NPC make the Harding Performance kit) with is a single mass unit.

The Feel: Same same, if not a touch softer
The Take up: its still right at the bottom, ie not a lot of travel
    - I had to remove a couple of washers from my clutch stop so it felt like it had some travel....
    - I have taken out the bleed restriction, which might help bring it a touch higher, maybe not sure

The Chatter: Yes there is chatter, not sure if we have gotten use to it, or its a lot quieter.
    - It was like rocks in a bucket, so maybe it is a bit better with a few km on it.

    Hope that helps mate.

The only problem was the Brakes while on Track... Hopefully I can save the pads and just bleed the system.

Service and Airbag replacement Book for Nov, Ill also get Dealer to drop the VAQ Diff Oil and Clean the Filter, as I've read a few Golf R's having Problems around the 3 year/60k km mark, So Ill get that done a year early. I'll also try and get them to up the Oil to 5W-40 (normally 5W-30).

Been on the hunt for Rally Style Mud Flaps, very keen on the Rally Armour but no Skoda kit, but I have Emailed to see if the GOlf Mk7 ones will be ok. The Skode front inner guard mounting holes are more in-board than a MK7 Golf GTI, so the front may not stick out as far, but the Rears should be ok, Which is what I want as the Rear bumper is starting to get ripped up.
Major Mod next will be Brakes I think. I wont be doing any Suspension Mods (Lower control Arms, Springs, Dampers, Coilovers) as my drive way is so bad plus its a daily driver with the odd track day, not the other way round. On that note,

I'm also on the look out for Spring Rubbers to increase the Spring Rate for track use, Yes it raises the Ride height, but stifferning the spring will help cornering a touch I feel.

    Skoda Sunday...
Re install BMS catch can to the engine mount.
Replace side to side shifter arm with the ECS Tuning unit. Has made the side to side a lot nice. Left as stock position, may go 20% reduction but don't want to make it easy to achieve a 'Money Shift'....

Cleaned out intake track with a can of SCA intake cleaner, bleed brakes and clutch.
Found front tyres are well shagged, so will sort them out this week
