In my favourite colour, to boot!
Comfort Pack minus heated seats is effectively standard; and the embossing in the leather on the seats is actual coloured stitching - which is nice.Originally posted by lunchboxGTI View PostDoes it have electric adjustable front seats with memory function and elec folding mirrors?
If so it seems as though skoda added the comfort pack standard to the 169 minus the heated seats.
The skoda configurator says heated seats are a $500 option on the 169.
You can option Tech Pack; Sunroof and Heated Seats.
You should be able to fiddle with the XDL (Electronic Differential Lock) thats part of the ABS system - this is done through VCDS.Originally posted by ferret vrs View PostIs there some adjustability with the diff in the 162 as well?
Coming from an awd turbo car I'm having to learn to feed the power in steadily, no more easy launches into gaps from a standing start - unless I want to look like a p plater hoon [emoji23]Last edited by Mysticality; 11-12-2016, 02:35 PM.

SG-TP-AB RS230 - Timeline
Hey All,
I know a few of you are keen to see/hear about the RS230.
I feel Ill be doing a few minor things along the way, so why not start a Thread now.
In a couple of weeks I should have delivery.
Its been a long road to get to today.
We started looking at RS Wagons way back in April, after seeing a Steel Grey RS Wagon at the DFO Woolies.
The other half said she liked it, so off to Skoda we went.
After a few missed goals and no cars available in the spec we wanted, I found out about the RS230. So called around a few dealers to see who would take my money for a deposit.
Pre - Ordered a Car in June and money on the table in July.
I've called it SG TP AB as thats what it is:
Steel Grey with Tech Pack & Auto Boot.
Not as cool as the other timelines, but Ill get there with a name, and that is
"The Grey Ghost"
Highlights so far:
- So the Ship was the Tamesis and Left Zeebrugge on the 3/10/16
- Left Auckland on the 14/11/16
- Landed in Brisbane around the 20/11/16.
- Ive been buying bits here and there....
- Still looking for a Dash Cam (prob new year job as Im broke)
- Today I got a photo from the dealer (Note the Black with Black 19's)
Once I know more/have the car Ill get a few photos.
Let me know if theirs anything that you want a photo of, ill try and get it for you.
Some of the Reviews have said the New diff isn't as good as they hoped, but I'm hoping some VCDS magic might make that better...
New Photo from the PDI Centre
So after Happy Laps in the Kia, Drove up to the Sunny Coast to meet the New RS230.
After all the paperwork, fitted some of my parts, Most of the above and my OBD2 Display, Found Boost on it, and then had a little play.
Not sure what is Standard Boost, but I was seeing a Max of 18 ish PSI.
Drove down the motorway, mainly in 2/3/4 gears with shorts bursts of power for running in, and taking every off ramp.
Now to work out what every button does....
- Installed Ultra Gauge (windscreen mount for now)
- External TPMS
- Paint Protection Film (PPF) is all on, and glad I did it.
Items were: Front bumper, Head Lights, Fog Lights, Full Bonnet, Full Front Guards, Door Cups, Door Handles (just the out facing surface), B & C pillars (Black), Side Skirts, Bottom of doors, Door Edges, Mirrors backs, Top of windscreen/roof, A pillars.
Getting a Fellow WVWC member to help out with some VCDS, Thanks Again Lams!
- Auto Boot Close
- Traffic - Counldn't get this going
- Fogs with High Beam Headlights
- Refuel quantity

- Installed an Audi Australia (Vorsprung durch Technik) plate frame
Borrowed a VCDS Cable from a Mates Mate

The Diff setting was on Standard, but you could feel it work.
Changing to Strong transformed the Car in to a real Beast!
I would guess the 'Hot SEAT (280hp)' in europe has this as standard!
At 900 km
Will do a Mountain run on the 27th
Bought all the kit to black out the badges.

- Masking tape
Having a go on the KIA first.... and stuffed it.
Note to self "Lots of light coats..."
Might end out being a few day job..... (re-do's...)
