Or fourth, because in fourth on the highway the revs are in the torque sweet spot.Originally posted by pjam73 View PostFull throttle in 5th or 6th on a tuned car is a sure way to cause clutch slip, or so I've read.2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.

I believe you hitting full boost in 4th 5th and 6th as well so yeah makes sense as its only when hitting full boost do I get the turbo flutter on acceleration.
The thing I like tuned is you can be cruising on the motorway, want to overtake in 6th you simply put your foot down and off you go, no need to downshift. Now with the way its setup IS38 (22psi) is pushed hard and I think the file is too aggressive for everyday driving. The way it behaves and shifting required is that it appears to be setup for drag/ track racing which wouldnt be a problem if it was switchable like APR, aggressive map for track days and tamer version for daily duties.
Anyway new map is available, just need to make some time to get it flashed so will see how that goes.Last edited by Fizz; 12-12-2016, 06:41 AM.1999 Golf GTi - SOLD

We are talking about the same insert here aren't we?Originally posted by Fizz View Posti get no vibrations with the solid insert at all.
Like this one:
SuperPro Torque Arm Lower Bushing Insert- Street - SPF3365-80K
If yours is solid metal I would have expected serious NVH?
Edit:
Ahhhh I see this one for the Golf Mk7 now.
The 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum Upper & Lower Dogbone Mount Insert Pair for Volkswagen & Audi MQB And MQB EVO includes the Upper Dogbone Insert, Lower Dogbone Insert, and New OEM Installation Hardware. The 034Motorsport Billet Aluminum MQB Lower Dogbone Mount Insert is designed to fill the large void in the factory dogbone mount, and limit drivetrain movement without sacrificing ride quality or introducing excessive additional noise, vibration, or harshness into the cabin. The 034Motorsport Lower Dogbone Mount Inserts come with new OEM TTY installation hardware. The MQB Upper Dogbone Mount prevents the puck assembly from rotating in the subframe housing, which can bend the lower insert and cause premature wearing of the factory rubber in the mount. Please Note: The Billet Aluminum MQB Upper Dogbone Mount Insert is included in our Billet Spherical Dogbone Mounts for the 8V/8S Audi A3/S3/TT/TTS & MkVII VW Golf/GTI/R and for the 8V.5/8S Audi RS3/TTRS. SELECT THE CORRECT VERSION: Some MQB models are equipped with a different factory dogbone mount. To ensure fitment on your vehicle, please visually verify the mount you have using this guide, then select the correct insert below. NVH Levels: LOW - MED NVH is the measurement of how much noise, vibration, & harshness gets transmitted into the cabin of your vehicle. 034Motorsport Dogbone Mount Inserts transfer low to medium amounts of NVH to the cabin based on user feedback. 034Motorsport Dogbone Inserts do not create any NVH while idling and some light NVH may be expected on initial take off in drive or reverse. NVH is subjective so some users may find NVH to be increased or decreased from our rating. If you are experiencing higher than quoted NVH with this product, please evaluate the installation to ensure to components are touching each other and email techsupport@034motorsport.com for further assistance.
I assume the Occy Mk 3 is similar. Not actually an insert....rather just stops the slop/movement of the factory bushing, hence I now understand why it doesn't transmit NVH.Last edited by donweather; 12-12-2016, 10:07 PM.

Spot on Mate its not a replacement just an insert and yes the mk7 GTI/ MQB one works on ours. In fact I'd say most MQB or mk7 GTI kit works on our cars.Originally posted by donweather View PostWe are talking about the same insert here aren't we?

Did more investigating and logging with E-tuners so it turns out that its not turbo flutter or compressor surge that I'm experiencing on WOT its actually Wastegate flutter! the clicking like a sewing machine I'm hearing is the wastegate working hard
It's normal apparently when you tune your car also the fact that I've got an aftermarket intake and muffler delete and have removed most of the restrictive parts there's less muffling of the sound happening, hence the reason its so distinctive now.

Today I...
picked up car with PPF installed. Glad I did it.
Installed a cheap TPMS
and Did a couple of VCDS mods with a fellow VWWC member.
All in all a great day. All info below in the link.
Questions...
VCDS: We couldn't get Traffic info working, as the value '1024' wound not work.
Any ideas people? Out of range I think it said
Also, Just been driving at night, and the 2 small lights in the roof were on, is that normal or did we miss up something in the VCDS?

They are meant to be on. Those lights shine down on the gear shifter area.Originally posted by HPRS230 View PostToday I...

Super skoda sell clear door lights which I recommend highly. Look much better in clear then red and let's more light out.Originally posted by kiwijohn View PostLED interior lights, so much brighter. Just need to do the little door lights
The mirror lights are worth doing as well.

Did you try rebooting the Nav unit by holding its on/off button for 10 seconds?Originally posted by HPRS230 View PostVCDS: We couldn't get Traffic info working, as the value '1024' wound not work.

Perhaps it will start working after the system goes to sleep (about 30 minutes with the whole car turned off)
Or you're not in an area that SUNA broadcast in?MY16.5 Octavia RS wagon, manual, Moon White + tech pack + 18" black pack.

It can also take a couple of goes picking up the signal before it kicks in but if it's not ticking in VCDS then there's a coding issue or the like.Originally posted by pjam73 View PostDid you try rebooting the Nav unit by holding its on/off button for 10 seconds?

Your the first on here with a 169 so maybe there's some changes to the latetest software? You wouldn't think it would be much different but who knows with skoda.Last edited by LunchboxVRS; 14-12-2016, 10:35 PM.
