Too hard to grab when driving and child wants a drink. The back door ones hold nothing!

Agree with your findings. TBH was disappointed with centre console trays/cup holders or lack thereof and places to put stuff. Given previous hoo ha about Skoda being wonderful for space and storage.
Superskoda have struts for the bonnet. Will be a mod that I will be doing.
Anybody had an issue finding the bonnet release. I felt like a right wally, kept looking for it on the rhs like my other VW's.
I found my first dislike. The drink holders in the center console don't fit my or my kids drink bottles. [emoji34] Hopefully pic shows how it's not sitting inside. Didn't have this issue with my Golf.
Anyone have any suggestions for alternative options?

No gas struts is a strange one, it makes sense for the lower spec Octavias, but the RS and Elegance and Scouts should all come with it. Something to ask dealers about. It hasn't bothered me that much, but even a base model Mazda 6 has had them all along.
Has the bonnet release lever moved to the passenger side? Or rather did they not bother to move it in RHD Octys in the Mk3. It is on the right in the Mk2.
