The only time I notice the difference is on mid corner bumps. The back end gets a bit jiggly then. 99% of the time you wont notice the difference. For me I was willing to sacrifice the multilink to stay away from the 7sp DSG, but if your looking at the 103 then its a whole new problem.

Last year I wanted a manual so the decision was made for me.
The ride and handling on my torsion bar rear with 17 " rims is fine.

For normal driving the power available is more than adequate and economy terrific.

If I were buying now I would seriously consider the diesel Scout.

Torsion beam on mine is fine, with 18s. The dampers could be better (not enough rebound damping) but for a normal everyday car, it's perfectly acceptable. The 1.4 is more motor than you need for an everyday car. Ignore the figures, it's pretty much the same speed as a Mazda 6 with the 2.5, but more torque down low where you drive everyday and less top end.

How is everyone finding the torsion beam suspension?
Is it worth going up to the 132tsi just for the multilink rear suspension setup?

Don't notice the difference to be honest. Would I pay more just for a multilink? No. Just to reinforce what others have said. The 103TSI is great around town and good on the freeway too. Very much like a 2.0T Passat I had a few years ago but smoother and more accessible torque. I have DSG and I'm 100% happy with it despite what you hear said. 15,000 k no problems.

I've also read that the 132TSI has bigger brakes...but i can't seem to find that info in black and white. Has anyone possibly seen it?

For the $2300 price increase from the 103TSI to the 132TSI, you get the 1.8L EA888 engine, multilink rear and the rear boot low profile spoiler.

1.4tsi front 288mm rear 272mm
1.8tsi front 312mm rear 272mm

Depending on where you look the 1.8tsi is somewhere between 30kg and 80kg heavier and uses a bit more fuel too.

Yep, the rim is scratched to buggery, though i may get it fixed. Full props to my repairer for pushing for a new rim and rightly so, its less than 6 months old. Had to drive that nugget Tiida in the background for a week. OMG the difference when i got back into my car haha.

So my MFD has suddenly started displaying the driving data in orange as you scroll through them and turns to white when you select the one you want. Anyone else the same? Its never done this before. Sorry for it being upside down.

Overall diameter is the same. My spare is full sized, so width shouldn't be an issue either

Its been mentioned on briskoda but unsure why it happens. I see your traction control is off. If u turn it back on...does it go back to white?
