  • +1 about windows.

I took a few days for it to come back.
    Up hold 2-5-10-20 sec
    and down for the same.
I powered the car off a couple of times also.

Unsure what the real answer is.

With previous cars it has been hold the button for a set amount of time to reconfigure, but doesn't seem to work with the Skoda?
Have checked owners manual, but nothing in there either on how to reset?

      • Hi Guys, Re windows I worked it out after mucking around for a while as the usual fixes didn't work.

For the Mk3 at least the fix I worked out was, with the windows up, pull the switch to the first position - you should hear the relay "click"
Then pull the switch to the second position, after a few seconds you should hear the relay "click" again.

Repeat with all switches, windows should now function correctly

        • I'm sniffing about for some 18" Gemini alloys if anyone's got them sitting aside for their aftermarket wheels. Long shot.

          • Something I just assumed was normal, but never actually asked. When I'm in a quiet place and drive forward, there is a quiet clunk (probably not the best description) that sounds like it comes from the drivers front....the first time it did it in my underground work carpark, I thought I had driven on something like a paper cup. BUt it does it everytime I drive forward about a metre. You can't hear it outside on the street. It does it at the same point each time, so figured its something kicking in, but never thought to ask if anyone else hears it. I don't hear it when I reverse out in the morning, but it might do it when I drive forward after that.

Seems pretty obvious really, the stop/start system will not activate if there are compromising circumstances such as a low battery state, engine not at operating temperature, or the cabin temperature is not at the whatever setting it is set at. In the latter case the car decides that priority will be given to maintaining the air-con so does not turn the engine off when stationary and gives you a message.
Possibly a very hot day and you had the climate control set to an impossibly low temperature that it would be unlikely to attain? Or the engine (and air-con) had not been running long enough to lower a 'super-heated' cabin.

Sorry should of explained it more, And this is a little different. My other half feels the air conditioning isn't as powerful after I've played with some stuff.
That alarm comes up without the start stop warning.

I'll keep a look out for it without the s/s.

Yes totally agree with the above, sorry for not explaining

                            • Manual, I only hear it when its somewhere dead quiet, the first time I thought I had run over something soft with the drivers front tyre, it comes from somewhere there or in the engine bay there.

                              • Rang a Skoda Dealer, spoke with a very helpful lady about the Wheel alignment vs ACC/lane assist.

She said anyone can perform the wheel alignment, the car will know the wheels are back to true.
If the ACC/Lane Assist does not work, it will be an underlying issue and dealer assistance would be required.

So I can stay with my local tyre shop.
