Hey has anyone noticed the black plastic covering the door frame on the front doors is getting scratches from the door seal which is part of the rear door. My Mk2 had just body coloured paint there, but noticed that the high shine plastic (which I thought was actually black paint) is all getting scratched up on the inside edge. There is nothing but slight dust on the door seal so doesn't look good for a 3mth old car.
I hate that cheap plastic rubbish! Both my cars have it (RS and Mk7 Golf) and just gets worse with time - thinking I'll wrap it in gloss black vinyl eventually.
Yes mine came delivered with some nice scratches on it. I thought it was paint so figured just to get it detailed later on as there are some swirl marks as well from delivery. But now I realise it is plastic I'm not so happy.
Question for those with the Canton system, I am getting crackling through the speakers (esp the tweeters) when audio streaming via Bluetooth, however none when going through usb. I have tried updating the Bluetooth software, reset and phone update (iPhone with latest ios). Has anyone had a similar issue and a fix?

Mine does it on certain songs only... Also on bluetooth only, it's fine on aux...Samsung S6 here. I'm interested if somebody has a fix as well.
Ordered (Mid-sept 2014 / Picked up, end of April 2015): Metal grey Octavia RS TSI hatch (MY15) | DSG |18" black pack | sunroof | tech pack | comfort pack
Anyone know how I can get Apply Play on my unit in my RS? I have the MY15 RS Octavia.... do I have to buy a whole new radio/gps unit or can you update/upgrade the software?
You have to replace the entire headunit. It's a completely different one. For what it's worth I find Apple carplay pretty crap. Bit annoyed I waited and paid more in the end to get a car with it as it's not as good as it should be.

ACC errors
Hi, does anyone else get the occasional ACC error? It's happened to me about 3x since getting my car in April, I'll be driving and having used the Adaptive Cruise Control and go to set it again and it's disabled with ACC error in the colour display between the speedo and tacho, also saying that there are no front sensors or something to that effect. I've found if I turn ACC off completely and wait a few seconds then turn it on again it usually works but today I had to do that 3x before it worked again.
There's nothing comes up in the car status page, mind you I've only checked once the error has been cleared.

Mine too. Looked crappy from day one.

MY 2010 Skoda Scout Manual Silver -traded
Pick up my RS wagon tomorrow.... one more sleep to go!
Can't wait!!!
I'm going to have a lot of time spent reading manuals and fiddling with settings and taking suggestions from these forums.
One thing I need to ask though - when setting up the individual characteristics in the drive mode settings, what practical purpose is there for being able to change the DSG settings?
I assume it's just shift-speed that is adjustable, but why would anyone want to make gear shifts slower than the quickest available setting?
Do fast gear change settings give extra wear on the clutches?
Reduced gearbox life with faster shifts? Or just harsher? People reduce the setting for comfort?
Sorry if this has been covered before/elsewhere but in 90+ pages of reading this thread in the last 2 days, I don't remember seeing anything about it.

Does the RS come with a TPMS sensor inside the wheel rim at the valve?
Or is the TPMS an indirect system via the ABS unit.
Looking at buying a internal TPMS system, but if the rim has a TPMS Sensor then obviously I need to get an external one or some how display the values on the dash.
Cheers
Also like to know where is best to get service in Brisbane that won't affect warranty?
I've purchased from sunny coast but live in Brisbane so I'm not keen to drive 2 hours each way just to get servicing done.
What's Skoda in Albion like? Is that my only option, or are there any VW specialists that would be better/cheaper without affecting warranty?

I serviced mine at the Brisbane Prestige. It's ok, get the job done. From my understanding, as long as it meets the logbook it shouldn't affect the warranty, regardless of the service location. I chose to get it done at the dealer as a goodwill in case of warranty claim.
