Can anyone shed some light on a potential issue I have. Have the columbus nav though it seems I'm missing tracks on my sd card. Is there a limit to how many are displayed? I've looked for certain tracks to no avail. They're all in MP3 format

I've booked my Octavia VRS dsg (mk3) for its first service. The Skoda website capped price servicing amount for the 15K/12 months: $423.00 (Capped Price Service - Å KODA). I thought this was pretty steep so I had a look at the VW Golf GTi. The GTi is $390 for the same service. What a cheek! Skoda is supposed to be the value brand! The thing that annoys me the most is the dealer I'm taking it to sells both Skoda and VW, so they are pricing exactly the same engine and transmission at different amounts. The brake fluid and pollen filter replacements were also cheaper for the VW.
Has anyone else come across the same discrepancy? I'm thinking of printing out the amounts and showing it to them at the service centre to ask for an explanation and price match. Do you think a price match is reasonable?Comment

Capped is about the MOST you should pay. IIRC the mk2 service schedule followed Audi's schedule, not VW's which meant more things were replaced earlier (pollen filters etc).

I have had good service from both dealers and independent specialists for my previous Octavia diesel, the main difference being the independent was much cheaper and a really good source of info on what needed to be done and when.Originally posted by Opie View Post
