good to know regarding the LED lights.

could have been an elegance with tech pack, but I don't think they are equipped with a VRS badge and front bar.

the wheels were stationary. it was stopped at lights, if I was stopped too I would have snapped a pic.

not sure really. wish I could have asked. its also possible they brought a few in that colour but have decided against the red as previous models didn't sell well in red.

TBH I think ive seen 1 or 2 red octavias.

the mk3 red looks better than the mk2 red IMO.

I wouldn't be so sure now. I ordered an RS wagon mid March with a few options including Tech Pack, and was told that the car will be built week 22 or after. Turns out my car got built week 16 and dealer assures me that it does have the tech pack. I only found out today so he is still making enquiries on why it was moved forward and if so if it is a My15 build (which I strongly doubt).

Dealer confirms with me my order is in a queue but still awaiting a Tech Pack code, not yet available from Skoda for us.

Almost irrelevant but last year but when I was in the US, I toured the BMW X3 factory (great value for $US7 each) and there was a very cool machine (just the one - nicknamed "Sunny") that installed the panoramic sunroof. It did the job very quickly but when it was out of action (and that had happened in the past apparently), that was it - no panoramic sunroofs for anyone - so I see how there can be delays if a $1M machine needs rebuilding/recalibrating ! Makes you appreciate how difficult it is to sort out all the logistics for cars having so many variations.

BMW's systems allowed LHD and RHD cars of every different spec imaginable to run down the line together. Something to see !

Woohoo.....have settled on a great price for a Manual Ambition+ wagon with tech pack, colour maxidot, Alaris 18's & comfort BT.

If anyone in Brisbane wants to know where, I can highly recommend the Dealer at Mt Gravatt (bryan burt) and one salesman in particular. Actually knowledgeable about the cars, and did a good price straight up. Very easy to deal with and was helpful through the whole process. Nice since a lot of other dealerships (not just skoda) seem to have their heads up their asses. Very good to deal with, which is a nice change. Looking forward to signing the paperwork and getting the car ordered.

Settled on Candy white as we are keeping the car for a long time, and a basic white looks good for a long time, doesnt date the car, is easy to detail and is easy to have touch ups matched on (much easier than metallic). Getting the whole roof wrapped in 3m carbon fibre vinyl by the brother in law when it arrives for the white/black look.

Now, how do I keep away from modding it straight away (the DTM front lip looks awesome!) - superskoda is an awesome shop for bling.....Going to order the chrome key fob bottoms from vw to make it feel that bit classier

GOOD NEWS EVERYBODY!

Just been informed by my dealer that orders now for build date week 22 or past it, will be MY15 Models. Any Octavia RS with Tech Pack will be a MY15.

Tech Pack will now NOT include the Reverse Camera. The cars will not be built with Reverse Cameras until Week 42, pushing the delivery date to Feb 2015.

So far since the beginning of the week my dealer has sold 3 RS's.

Its been kown that the tech pack was only available for MY15 builds for a while now. Interesting that there wont be the reversing camera, not that its a real deal breaker.

Hopefully the tech pack price is out soon, considering theres no reversing camera its pretty safe to say it'll be $2K or less
