It's standard on a Corolla and the i30.

So, looking at this list... If I option it up (based on Elegance) with Tech Pack and all the other gadgets I want in my next vRS, I'm currently looking at MSRP +$7515.

Yep the elegance gets stuff standard that are impossible to get on a golf, including the GTI. I've heard reports that the Canton system is better than the dynaudio one too.

So the RS's that are bound for australia only have 7 airbags like the ambition/ambition plus (elegance has 9), i wonder how it'll be specced? I imagine it'll have the 8inch screen though since the previous RS had the RNS-510/Columbus standard.

We moved to the country this year and we've found ourselves doing country things. I'd turned a blind eye to the Octavia for our next car. I was leaning towards something with a bit more ground clearance, AWD but liveability - like the new X-Trail or Rav4 - and because I want to salary package it, mid 30's was the goal for the price.

But a new baby has shown me that as a family car, the VRS is brilliant. It fits a ridiculous amount of gear, is real world economical, has not missed a beat and is good fun on the weekends when I have some downtime.

It doesn't solve the "can I drive down that firetrail" equation, but the value equation of the Ambition with tech pack (and a few options) has the Octavia well and truly back on the radar. Good work Skoda, I'll be coming through the doors to take a test drive sometime next year. And if I'm lucky I might be able to stretch to a Scout

Just saw the ad in the paper today for the new skoda only didn't realise it was the new model as the drive away price was close to the old price.

We are just about due for the first service for the 90tsi so hopfully I can have a good look over the new model.

I saw one today on the back of a truck, still with the dust wraps on, but with a sticker on the side "New Octavia". I assume it was on its way to the local dealer for use as a demo.

It'll only have 7 airbags like the ambition/ambition plus, so it could be based on that spec and not the elegance. I'm hoping that it still has the columbus though.

Just noted that it says panoramic sunroof only on the wagon.....I thought there was a sedan version?
