New Octavia ....when? How Much?

I guess they consider it fair game because it's up on the website, but can anyone else see it? I don't see anything about the new Octavia there yet.

So to buy a decent one ie, 132 tsi Wagon
+ $2k wagon
+ $2.5k DSG (only comes with a DSG with the 132 tsi )
+ $2.5k 1.8 l motor
it will come out about $30,000 about $5000 cheaper than a Mazda 6 Wagon........Hopefully.

$340 per service got the 103tsi. $400/service for the 132tsi. $410/service for the 110TSi. It's hardly giving it away. I guess as long as you know what you are up for rather than the lottery we have now.

Only 1 manual offering on the entry level spec. Speaks volumes on the laziness & incompetency of Australian motorists.

I think about $33k+ORC for the 132tsi wagon because it will be in Elegance spec.

Pretty happy with how the 132tsi is specced, there's a lot there that beat the any of the Golf 7's none of which have the much much better 8 eight sat nav system or any option for a sound system.

Aggressive pricing, I'm surprised they went that low.

I called my local (prominent inner city) dealer and they had no idea it had been announced. Pathetic!

Things that irk me - no manuals for the rest of the range. I guess I have to be thankful they even offer a manual in the base model, but seriously....why not offer it as an option in higher models? Give me the option, I will pay for it!

No cruise control on the base model is absolutely inexcusable.

You've got to pull some features out of the base model to lower the price & give incentive to buy the more expensive model.

If the lack of being able to stick to a specified speed is any indication, most of the people on my M5/Hume hwy commute don't use cruise anyway.

103TSI Wagon with DSG in Ambition Plus ($28,140) and Tech pack($3900) - RRP $32,040.

Is $30,000 a realistic price for this package? I'm sure there's some negotiating room in these prices.

Tech pack appears to be $3300 for Ambition plus.

I doubt youd get it for $30k now but after the excitement has died down in 6 months it should more than do-able. I would have thought $29k actually as 10% off is about the same as fleet pricing.

$3300 is the tech pack price for the elegance, $3900 is for ambition plus. There was typo in the earlier post.

My boss jumped in my car yesterday and said.....what's that gear stick thingo and extra foot pedal for!!! He also asked if my car was a VW.....I said no, it's better than a VW!!!

As he jumped out after I dropped him off he said....damn nice car actually....except for that gear stick!!!

I wouldn't buy another Occy unless it came in a manual. Particular seeing the only alternative is the swear word "DSG"!!!
