Rang up dealer today to see if there is any news and got a very surprised news. Our car is going to built next week! We only ordered back mid August and was told the car won't be built until January next year. Maybe the production line of octavia has been improved. We've ordered rs sedan with tech pack with rc, black pack, leather, sunroof. Very very happy! Hope this will apply to all of you

Great news. To Skoda Europe credit they did say they would address general production and RS quotas. Perhaps they were telling the truth.

idsh42 I just hope you're not being spun a line considering we ordered back in April.
We were out looking at cars yesterday and we ended up back at the Octavia Rs. The wife was interested in trying a Yeti but after taking one for a test drive and then going for a drive in an RS she lost all interest in the Yeti. Also had a look at the Rapid which would be just the right size but we were both unimpressed with the poverty pack equipment list.
We hadn't realised but through the wife's work she has access to a buying service for cars so we have given them the specs that we are after and the order gets put out to tender and we should be buying at fleet prices.
I did a bit of ringing around myself and found a silver RS with no packs and with the dsg for 40k. I also found a white RS with dsg and blackpack in Sydney for $41,500. We've given up all hope of getting a manual but a tech pack would have been good. There is a white RS wagon with tech pack but it's in WA.
Does anyone know when the MY15 cars are going to be in the country? Just realised it would be a shame to race out and buy one because we're sick of waiting and the realise if we waited another month we would be getting the next years model.

Geoffs I've seen one at the dealer when we signed up the contract but couldn't recall its the wagon or sedan. the car salesman did give us the 6 didgis com number when I asked for the build number, anyone knows what's that? Cheers

I just just mentioned this to the wife and was told I want the car now!!!
I think if the fleet buying guy comes up with a car roughly what we are after that's what we'll be getting

Please all posters. when referring to what version RS your seeking be specific about it being the Sedan 'Liftback' or the ever popular Wagon 'Combi'. It just makes it so much clearer and the Wagons are dearer by a grand or so. Cheers Al

Drove a race blue rs sedan 6MT at gold coast skoda today after driving a mk7 r. I'll be ordering one in the wagon as soon as my wife decides on either white or blue. I simply cannot justify spending another nearly 16k to the r.

I must also say the manual transmission is a beauty. The MY15 steering wheel is also very nice
