This 2 months better go quick. I just tallied up all the bits I want for the car. $2K. (although, ISOFIX carseats eat a lot of that up, along with $300 dashcam). Prob $1K of "bling" (Sound deadening, LED's, etc etc)

Powerucc panorama g dashcam. And entire boot and rear wheel arches in dynamat extreme and mass loaded vinyl.
Should have enough left from a bulk pack for front doors also, but have to investigate how to get trims off as have read there are pressure sensors for airbags in there.

Got the same dashcam on order GT27, will have to get it hard wired though. Don't want that cable dangling in front of my face.

I'm curious about soundproofing. Much respect to those planning the full job, but I'm not very technical or handy so was hoping just patches of dynamat on accessible easy to install areas would still have a half decent effect. I wouldn't even touch the doors given the sensors.

Also heard somewhere that the new Octavia gets wind noise at higher speeds (owners feel free to confirm/deny). Would dynamat and /or mlv help with that - by changing the overall acoustic perhaps? Or does wind noise just come thru the glass?

Doing the spate wheel well, and rear wheel arches inside the boot makes a big difference. You just have to lift the carpet on the boot it, sick it down, then put carpet back. It's easy, but time consuming (and finger destroying). Worth it though IMO

Edit: I'll be hardwiring my dash cam too.
