need to sort out my superchips tune issue, and then ill think about the DSG tune.
Whats the issue with the superchips...?? My bluefin is not as smooth as I would have liked personally... Im on my 2nd tune now...

This is something that I really want to do because D mode is all over the shop... $1k is pricey but i can see that it is well worth it...

i know its alot more $$$, but the APR ECU tune is awesome, without any glitches - just smiles, lots of it.
paired up with the APR TBE and now the HP DSG tune, its like a well-oiled transformer!!! press a button, or in this case, ur right leg, and it transforms from a mundane looking family car.

      • the stage 1 tune was fantastic! the stage 2 has had some hiccups.

around 2000rpm it either stutters or just flat spots. not always, and generally under a bit of load on light-to-medium throttle.

they have logs and im hoping they will have something for me soon. im not all that worried, im sure they will sort it out.

and im also not bagging the product at all, for anyone who reads this. TBH, ive taken my sweet ass time getting info to them, so they aren't to blame.

        • I'm still getting the stutters and hesitations and I've just swapped from 2+ bluefin to 2+ eTuners. Not really sure what's the issue. Checked all my piping, hpfp upgrade looks fine.. it's running very lean and I have a cel currently

          • ohh really? that's good for me to know

I did some logging for them and made the problem occur. so hopefully that can help them out!

I even removed my stage 2 intake as I thought it wasn't sealing correctly. no change.

no change after installing new coils too.

sorry we are whoring this thread now

            • So I went and got myself a set of cheap roofracks just so I can carry a 3.5m ladder.
I've never lliked roofracks, still don't.
As soon as I get the job done with ladder, I'm removing them.
They also noisy. That's why one should buy the more expensive streamlined ones

Yes whispbar are the ones you want... I have a set which stay on permanently, though the Tig has roof rails so the cross bars don't look so much out of place.

                    • so i didn't like the aerial - unscrewed it and put a plastic screw in there so water doesn't get in.
no degradation in radio reception thus far. might b a different story out on the rural roads.

                      • so after almost 4 yrs, my battery died this morning.
i noticed over the past 3-4 weeks that during the cranking, it wasn't so strong - felt weak.
i was expecting a battery light, but that didn't happen - instead i got frantic clicking & lights flickering.

$285 later, allianz roadside assist replaced the battery with 3 yrs warranty.

                        the old.....
