Today I bought some heat insulation and heat tape and wrapped my intake pipe.
Looks a bit cheesy against all the carbon fibre in the engine bay, but hopefully I'll get the temp it down a few degrees.
A testdrive up Mt D tonight should give me my answer! Yeeewwww!!!

My vRS got a basic hand wash in my front lawn. At completion of the wash it was crystal clear (not) that I need a high pressure hose/foam gun-not as clean as it should be
i put RainX Repellent on my windscreen + windows........damn it was awesome driving in the wet. did not have to use the wipers at all!!!
i drove from canberra to sydney in pouring rain - no wipers.
the water just rolled right off...very quickly.
was kinda cool - sorta like a matrix thingy, or flying though spare will all those droplets racing up the windscreen!!

If I remember right there is a very compelling reason not to use RainX....I can't recall it though. I went to use it a million years ago, well actually I did in the lab but that was for entirely different kind of use.
Have HID lows and highs. Something send my BCM (body control module) into a tailspin and left the front right indicator on. Even when car locked overnight, it was on.
Got the module replaced and put the HIDs back in, will see if it happens again.
All are 35W.

Not to sound smart ass, but the above scenerio wasn't just the leaving the indicator stalk on to the right was it? I'd imagine the rear indicator would also be on in that case though.
