Yes I have the same question. I mentioned it to the dealer who said something ridiculous about stretching the chassis. I have a fibreglass sailing catamaran and a 7x5 box trailer for camping. My next car may need to replace my CX7 and provide as much of the function and practicality as possible. I guess the first thing to check is whether the web provides an allowable towing load even if an aftermarket tow bar is the only one available.

Pretty sure there was discussion in here on the delays in getting approvals for a towbar on even the standard Golfs, and mention of the fact that one dealer had told a prospective R buyer that they would definitely not be approved for one.

Whether this carries over to Audi is a separate question of course, but may be an issue. Best bet is to get a firm answer direct from Audi.

Seat Adjustments:
On the S3, are the seat bases adjustable for tilt ? I couldn't see any mention of it in the specifications.
I have never managed to find the ideal position on my GTI, due to the angle of the seat base .

Found the answer I wanted at the dealer, and took an S3 with the performance pack for a test drive. Ending up putting a deposit down on a S3 with no options, should be here November.

Just ordered a glacier white s3 sedan with sunroof, tins, and performance pack. ETA 31/8/14. Can't wait!! Didn't feel the need for a test drive.

About to order an S3 Sedan tomorrow, Phantom Black P Pack and Sunroof.

Question about the Performance Pack. I seem to reading differeing reports, the wheels are changed to the 5 twin spoke star design... is it 18" or 19"...

Are there any caveats to this car? I read that previous 2.0 TFSI engines by the VAG group tended to eat through some oil, this being a new engine design/redesign? Anyone notice any thing similar? Not even a problem really, but yea any advice or tips would be welcome.
