just jokes about the dog mate. it's like having a little baby, she gets away with murder.Originally posted by Lito View PostWait, so the dog unpacked all your clothes? Pretty clever if you ask me!
Oh and I say not a good idea to the laminex. Looks tough as but it's just asking for you to get pulled over IMO
i know what you mean about the lamin-x, i am in two minds. it actually doesnt look as bad side on and if i run the drl's all the time you might not notice the tint and therefore less chance of getting a tap on the shoulder from the plod...

thanks for the info mate, i'm looking to get the one that lamin-x class as tint; so not as dark as gunsmoke. do you have any photo's for reference please...Originally posted by Auditude View PostI have 6% (gunsmoke) lamin-x on my headlights and they don't draw any negative attention. Touch wood...
The darker shades might though.

Sorry got the film names mixed up. I've got tint (6%).
Under fluorescent light at night

In the sun during the day

And looking at it with the lights on, you can't tell it's there unless you know it's there.

Got the film from Lamin-x in the states. I did the headlights and taillights myself. It's pretty easy. I've done my old car and a few mates cars in the past.
The precut sheets are fine for the headlights. If you're gonna do the tails, get a whole sheet and trim the excess after. The flared bottom and curves mean you'll have to really heat and stretch the precut pieces.

playing around with new wheel ideas; at the moment its between azev's and bbs. more thinking azev's as bbs have been done to death and i always wanted azev's right back to when i was in my teens (a long time ago).
i can't find any on an 8p a3/s3 to get an idea but i did find these on an 8l...

they are the same specs that i'm looking at and as i can't find any on an 8p i thought it would be something different. might go for a darker shade later down the track...

and finally one of my all time favourite cars...

yes mate, the wheels i'm looking at work on paper. not always the case when you put them on the car though. different brand tyres have different side wall profiles which can have a big effect on things.Originally posted by Auditude View PostThe last image is pretty damn nice. Have you done much research on 8P wheel specs?
if my calculations are correct i might be able to run 235's without rubbing. not doing the stretched tyres this time, i want the performance of the s3 and will be going with fast road tyres...

Elementary my dear Watson (although not the tyre brand). i might see if the tyre shop will let me try a 235 first, if not then maybe a couple of cheap used 235's to try before i buy...Originally posted by Auditude View PostAt that size tyre I'm guessing you're looking at something like 18x8.5, around +47 to +50 offset and Falken tyres then?
