Got a Golf 118TSI last September. Live in Sydney (West Pennant Hills). Car is great except for the supercharger squeak. Found a thread in this forum and monitoring it.

2.5i T4 engine performance

Ga'Day VWatercooled,
First time here, I own a 1994 t4 2.5i 5cylinder. Looked everywhere on the net for cams, but only for TDI. There is one place EUROSPECSPORTS that does cams, but not much info. Lowered 55mm with 18in mags & Bilstien dampers. Replaced the exhaust with a 2.5in from the headers back & Cannonball muffler.

Well first off, Ill say G'day!!!
Not sure how many people will read this thread but oh well.
I do not own even a car yet (only 17!) and thus Im am considering what I may buy.
Im a massive fan of classic Volkswagens (Beetles, Type 3's, Kombi's) but I also like quite alot of the new models aswell. Paticularly MK2 Golf GTI's and MK3 Golfs aswell, I'm quite interested in purchasing one of them (MK2 or MK3), prefferably a MK2 GTI, but I'm still doing my research on them.
Anyway Ive spent quite alot of time at Aussieveedubbers.com, another awesome VW forum and Id invite you to come have a poke around if you havnt already.

We are entering VW territory for the first time. Currently have 4 kids and just been 'diagnosed' with twins! Currently drive a honda odyssey and seriously looking at at Multivan. Wondering if this is the right move or not compared to the Imax or Grand Carnival or Taragos!

Hi everyone,

I joined the ranks of VW owners with a manual 103TDI Tiguan in late January. Really loving the car, though it is surprisingly difficult to drive until you get the hang of it - everybody stalls it regularly when they first drive it.

I'm just about to head off to central Oz for a month or so and thought I should join up here to see how others have done this and see if anyone knows where I might get a spare wheel rim for it.

Have just started to get the hang of on line forum
Really marvelous, as just now made deposit on 118ST Golf (With extended warrenty)
I am retired X-Ray engineer, with EXTENSIVE travel around Australia and Pacific region.
Previous supplied with basic service cars by company. (EG Holden ex') (But did have a time re spitting dummy with last of Triumph 2500S, Bad mistake)
Best ride was Renault 1600TS. Hung onto it as long as I could, until company director pulled me out (The exhaust dropped off as I pulled up at work) and gave me a Centura
3.5? L auto.
Now had to get used to driving the OPPOSITE end to a performance car!!
SO, despite bad press, look forward to new Golf, despite wating time.

Will start off by saying this forum is absolutely awesome and a wealth of information! It has been a great help.

We initially bought the Golf Wagon, which had to be built, and the delivery date was pushed back until October so we changed to the Tiguan which is currently making its way over to Australia, due for delivery next month.

Am so excited - it's our first VW!
