Just bought my first VW and loving it. Got about 800kms on the clock, its a 2010 GTI Candy White.

I was a little blasé about ordering my new Golf TDI and happy to come here just to read about my soon to arrive baby. This was until I went to the shipping tracking site and the result changed from "No records found" to an actual page with an actual arrival date, now I'm excited

ETA 19th of May, so I should get my Golf early June(ish) \o/

I have been reading the forums for a little while, though have not yet owned a VW so saw no point in joining.

I'm picking up a 2007 Polo GTi next Friday. Red (:S maybe it will grow on me), 45,000k's, leather, sunroof etc etc.

It's a practical trade down from a 4WD, but i'm sure it will be alot more fun. So hopefully some fellow owners can shed some light on it for me re; APR re-mapping and the like.

Hi all,

I picked up a 1997 VR6 the other day with just 71000 kms on the clock - it is in need of some repairs (new interior) and needs a key (coming on Monday). It's my favourite new toy and I can't wait to play with it - am in the Northern Rivers area of NSW and hope to build up a very nice ride! I'm going to keep my eyes open for a few decent power build toys, maybe a supercharger if I can find one second hand, it will look stock though. I would love to find a nice leather interior but will have to go with a standard CL one for the moment. Anyway - hope to pick up some good tips and maybe parts here!

Another First Timer

Hi all,
I lobbed here after googling how to fix scuffs on my Jetta 2.0 FSI's alloys....
Also the topic on extended warranties caught my eye, as we have just extended our factory cover for another 3 years.
We also own 2 Karmann Ghias ( one on the road!).
Lowrider, that's my tag on aussieveedubbers!
No wonder I couldn't join up using it!

Names Ian, I have a 2000 Golf, 2.0. Currently 195,000kms (Bought it 2 years ago with 125,000) Silver, Black leather interior, Alpine Type R component speakers on all 4 doors and 12" in boot. Mainly stock as a rock beyond that.

I never bothered with them before as my last car was a 95 nissan bluebird (fail i know ) .. im now driving a mk 6 Golf 118TSI and loving it (**picked it up xmas eve 09), im pretty keen to learn alot from every one esp in regards to APR ecu tunes if its worth it??

I came across these forums whilst searching for various information regarding the new VW Golf, as I am currently looking for a 118TSI Comfortline. Tried a few times to get a secondhand Mk 5, but couldn't really find anything I was completely happy with...I'm a pretty picky buyer. Thus I have decided to buy new!

Anyway, I hope I can learn some valuable tips from others on this forum.

Hi guys,

Stumbled upon this sit in search of info about the Tiguan.
We've just ordered a 125 TSI with a few extras; leather, fog lights, comfort pack.
Need to know info on Sat Nav, does it come with reverse camera as standard or is that an extra? Also what's the difference with MDI and Media-In.
We've had a Golf 2001 from new and have absolutely loved it.
