Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Tried to log on a day after i created my account and was told i was permanently banned for suspicion of being a spammer, then sent an email asking what was going on. Ban was soon lifted, not sure if thats what you mean by normal verification. It did turn me off for a while, but found myself crawling back for more answers about my sweet little polo haha.

As Transporter said, there is a LOT of spammers that sign up each and every day. The filters are pretty good at weeding them out, but unfortunately there are still some false positives.
*Usually* if you have a .com.au email address and/or sign up in Australia you should sail through without issues, but it's not always the case. A quick reply to the email and I'll unlock your account, normally this is within 24 hours, if I happen to be sitting here it will be very quick but if I'm off at a car show interstate sometimes it could take a couple of days.
