Attention all new Users - Quick question for you all

Hello and welcome to VWWatercooled. As some of you I'm sure have noticed, our automatic filters seem to be catching more people than usual lately... so much so that I'm starting to wonder if they are working correctly or not.

To try and work this out I'm asking new users if they were caught in the filters or not? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, you were not, if you were you needed to send an email confirming you are human).

So, were you caught up and had to request an unlock??

yeah stopped me when i signed up, although i was in the Netherlands at the time, so might have had something to do with it?

Hey Aaron,

I don't recall having to send an email. Just having to post in the newbies section. Which is a good thing really because if I sent an email telling you I'm human I'd have been lying and since my Cyborg programing forbids me from such an action I would have emailed to say I was in fact a robot.

What your email address or what user name you choose is less likely to cause issues, unless you go for something dodgy like "viagra4sale"

One of the contributing factors is where you are in the world when you sign up. Using a proxy service might cause issues (if you don't know what that is you're not using one ).
