What does everyone do with insurance, I was going to do the stage 3 course with SDT when AAMI pulled the pin on all non AAMI run driving courses so I haven't been able to get along to it.

I'm thinking of insuring my new GTI with CGU as they offer 3 years replacement with a new car if written off or stolen and choice of repairers but they don't look overly friendly to courses like this.

Is there insurance you can take out for these days that cover you or insurance companies that cover these and offer decent new for old cover?

Ive got a good answer for you, it doesn't matter what insurance you have if your not going to crash it!
Insurance companies will always frown on motorsport, though Shannons are a major sponsor of a few events. i.e Targa Tas

Just because you are looking at putting it on the track it doesn't mean you have to drive like you stole it. Drive to your capabilities and you will be fine
                  Cheers,
                  Jamie

Fantasic words of advice. Track days can be gret fun as long as you stay within yours and your cars limits, Having said that when i went on a track day with instructors they definitely are great for helping you get the most out of your car.

I cant wait for the track day

Shop around for insurance - some companies will actually discount your insurance because you have been to accredited driver training days such as these - others couldn't give a hoot (so vote with your feet).

Saying that, having done 30+ of these days, I have never seen a vehicle damaged on any of our days (there was a wet track day that saw a couple of near misses).

Follow the instructors instructions & you will be fine!

Who else is going & when, ie, what time on Sunday morning or who is going to motel it & what time on Saturday. Me could be talk into motelling it & making a week-end of it.

                            Mate,

We might go do on Saturday afternoon & stay the night in Warwick - not quite organised yet. The coachmans is great, has an excellent restaurant as well.

hi mate, i'm interested in attending...
what is the policy in regards to passengers? can I take a friend or two, assume only 1 would be in the car with me at any given time - unless an instructor was in the car too in which case no passengers.

                              thanks!
