I would turn it into a SC kit and ceramic brakes. I'll be moving back to Japan fairly soon, so I should probably start consolidating cars anyway, or I'll just have to put them in storage

Sorry! I assumed I was the slowest car down the straight and that no one would have any trouble getting past me. I did pretty much point everyone by and stick to left (except for on the first go round when the yellow DS3 and SLK55 looked like they came a little too close for comfort). Just about everyone passed me, sorry if you had any complaints, it wasn't intentional.

Yeh I have to admit, I misjudged the SLK I thought they were going slow to let me past at the beginning of the straight (which they did which was nice) but then vroom - dat big V8 came into action after I passed and came up right up behind me so my mistake. I didn't want to pass out the back of the track even though it seemed safe - I just didn't want to risk it.

I tried to get over to let you pass hence why it seemed a little close. And don't worry you are definitely not the slowest person on the straight, I think I am haha. 150hp in mine only gets you so much.

Apologies to the driver of the SLK again.

BTW Wolfman interesting angle with the head-cam. Gives a nice perspective of what it's like out there.

Ha! Really brings home how useless I am then! Had no idea those Citroen's handled so well. Like a mini. I loved the blue VRs as well (I love all wagons, truth be told), sounded a bit like an R18 TDI Le Mans racer going by. Whoosh! lol.

Kind of crazy how noisy the car suddenly becomes isn't it? I have no idea how they managed to tune the exhaust to be so unobtrusive at normal speeds then BRAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR

I kept my pace for the first 15mnts to learn closely the lines and surfaces and camber changes in cruising mode aka slow motion (so i can break the 66s at timeattack or even better 65s)

Game on sub 66's.

Your turn in point is good, mid corner position about right, exit is too tight IMO. Karousel and hungry are best to let the car run wider. At pace that'll happen naturally, though id still be eyeballing ideal exit in happy laps. Probably not saying anything you don't already know.

Praise be to the baby cheeses, I wasn't as close as I thought with the SLK. Still too close for comfort though.

Also I'm not sure if it was just me, but I found the first cone that separated pit entry and continuing with laps (exit of eastern loop) to be placed a little inconveniently. Maybe I wasn't letting the car run wide enough early enough, not sure. Thoughts?

I'll upload my video soon. My litecoin farm keeps stealing my internet speed away from me.

I don't think you werte here for the first one we did in February.
The cone setup was even worse then because it was the first time so we all came up to eastern loop as per usual then there were cones before you had even exited the corner haha, scared the heck out of most of us.

The insurance requirements for Lakeside require the cones to be in place and they don't have much wiggle room on where they have to be set up on the track.

We'll see how QR goes next month as it should be a bit less restrictive.







Also Brash, what were you capturing that video on?
I never saw the R8 on track as we must have been on opposite sides of the track each lap.
It is a shame about the cones because it means that new attendees seem to slow down a lot more for fear of hitting a cone and taking the whole group out of Happy Laps.
