If anyone doesn't get off the reserve list you're welcome to ride passenger in my e30 (actually if anyone could give me some pointers on lines and whatnot that would be awesome, even though I've done a bunch of these I'll be the first to admit I'm still not great at it haha, would love to get some constructive criticism)

Machine put up a video from when he was under tuition at lakeside, I think its a few pages back in this thread. Have a look back through other happy laps at videos of my and others lines too. Also in my signature below there is a link to a good website on racing lines, worth a read.

The main thing to remember is to look through the corner, your peripheral vision will ensure the steering is smooth and you'll starting hitting most apex. You also don't need to be driving at the limit to learn, which makes these laps ideal for trying differing lines.

Maybe I'll see if a mate who's been racing formula ford for years wants to come out as a passenger.

Managed to finally get my phone to find the gopro wirelessly so now I have preview screening on the phone, shouldn't have any issues setting up the camera for the perfect video location now.

Very jelly. I think there is some wifi or bluetooth add-on for my hero2 but it means I can't use the plastic housing for it which is kinda pointless. Same goes for the extended battery.

Yeah that is why i went the Hero 3 silver, same specs as the Hero 2 but a newer lens and the wifi was built in.

Does the screen app work over wifi? Hope its not reliant on your home wifi network

Perhaps turn on personal hotspot so the iphone creates a wifi network for the go pro to join.

The screen app works over wifi, the hero 3 has a built in wifi signal so you can access it remotely.

Unfortunately this round has already filled up but i can put you on the reserve list and you will automatically be placed into the next laps session in April if you like?

You can still come out for a look/breakfast and see if you can jag a passenger spot with someone to see how the event works and get a feel for the track.
If you want to do this let me know.

"ZOMG LOOK AT ME I DOES DRIFTS ON THE STRAIGHT!" That is just....sad. Also most of us drive FWD cars so me thinks it would be a bit dumb to even try to drift. That overtaking is just retarded. I can't believe QR even allowed them out there (like what has already been said) and I'm surprised the event was not cut short because of poor behaviour. But I guess QR probably expects that behaviour from Downshift

I will admit I did a bit of lift-off oversteer a couple of times at the last one but I was really just seeing what happens and how the car reacts and I made sure no one was near me when it happened. Also a couple times it happened by mistake.
