So after a little too long away from Brisbane, my car and the VW scene, I'm planning a little (or maybe big) cruise/drive for once I return. This is very similar to the first cruise I ever went on and yes, the round trip from Brisbane will be about 400km but it's definitely worth it.

I'm not sure of the road conditions as it's been almost three years since I was out there last, but it's a beautiful drive with plenty of bends and scenic lookouts on the way. Hopefully the weather is nice and it'll be a good day to remind me what it's like to drive on the right side of the road!

Brisbane to Brisbane - The Looooooooong Route



The proposed date for this drive will be February 10th, 2013 (one week after my return) and the meeting place will be Beaudesert McDonalds (114-120 Brisbane Street, Beaudesert, 4285) at 9.30am for a 10am departure.

This is not a speed run, but a leisurely drive through the QLD/NSW countryside to catch up with you guys. Act like a dick if you must, but expect a told-you-so dance if something totally preventable happens to you or your car.

MACCCCAAAA! no idea why yopu would bother coming back to aus travelings the bom......Done this drive 4 times its just plain awesome, if your a real car person the longer the better. if my car is fixed by then im in no doubts

If I have enough spare cash for fuel I'm keen for this, sounds like great fun. Been struggling to even buy food the last couple weeks though and the new car uses about 500l/100km so we'll see closer to time haha

My dad lives near there
Every summer when I visit, it's screwed
Even in winter. Sooo many car sized pot holes"

Well I spoke to someone yesterday and they said the roads are in a terrible condition, so let's postpone this for about a month or so. And we can hope that the roads! I wouldn't want anyone to damage their cars simply because of the ****ty roads.

Probably a good idea.
I did a run down Nerang Murwillumbah Road after hte floods in 2011 and i was glad i had the tig as the roads were in a bit of a sorry state.
