Okay lakeside has been advised of our attendance numbers and we are al locked in for Saturday morning (fingers crosssed for the weather).
Our veg friends should have the option of fruit salad and grilled tomatoes in place of eggs/bacon/sausages so long as the message gets passed on to the cooks.
No word on the witches hats as the admin office didn't even know they are used.
I think it means the people who run the event (keith is the guy at Lakeside, he gives the safety briefing) have the discression to make changes such as the witches hats if they feel the need but as per usual, no one in the admin area who organises bookings are told of these changes.
Any chance of more than 120 down the straight..?
I give it a quick blip down the straight but by then I'm doing way over 120. I don't want to cause any trouble..

To be honest there is a fair amount of variation in the speeds along the main straight.
Each time we go we end up with a different "set" speed that rarely gets regulated.

They said that speed last time and we walked to the cars feeling ripped off, but it was clear everyone was exceeding it, though doing so safely. I was reaching near top of fourth.
They keep an eye on the speeds down the back, which is also why they have the cones. I really don't mind the cones being there, when you get a clear run through they are good fun, hard on the brakes, quick right left and back on the gas. Though there were some coasting up to the them and doing school zone speeds through em which resulted in a back log of cars and multiple laps to get pass safely... In which case, please stick to one side of the track and lets gaining cars pass.
I've bought a 99c phone app to video it this time, which also gives speed, g'force and laptime overlay. It's call CMS laptimer. I think as a lap timer it'll pretty ordinary and not particularly accurate, but will be cool to have video and some loose record of speed. It's for iPhone.

Awesome, I was going to message you to see if it's all sorted. Already looking forward to seeing the output. Best bang for buck possible.
I've noticed some calibration is possible with CMS, I can change where the start/finish line is after the event, but yet to test it against anything.

No worries, good to know. Yeah it doesn't take long at all to do 120 coming out of the last corner..
I felt like I was twiddling my thumbs pottering down the straight ..common sense rules the day
