If you've got an iPhone, the setup that Machine (ben) will have is going to give you the most data for your money. Harry's lap timer, external GPS and obd data port. I'll be very interested to see the data through obd as I've only seen it once and had a big delay, through iPhone 5 it may be much better. This and high def video, awesome. I have the TomTom iPhone holder which boosts the GPS signal. I'm going to give it and Harry's a try at the next happy laps. A lot have been getting decent results

Sweet, that's all you need. I think that gives 5hz, which is certainly sufficient for tracks and the phone can handle that amount of data. Ive read less favourable reviews for 10hz through phones. Wifi obd would be an optional nice to have, though would gauge Ben's before committing. Definately agree here.
