haha. My first time at lakeside (with a stock polo) doing sprints I couldn't keep up with a stock vw caddy, I think it was a diesel too. Much respect to that guy, he was pedalling that thing exceptional well. Speed will come with more time out there.

A mate is up from Adelaide.

Who was the kid in the white mk2 (from memory) it is VERY important that he is at this event. It was so funny watching him body roll with 1 wheel in the air and things going everywhere. It was so good to watch i didnt want to overtake him.

Will be interesting to see how the bags handle on the track.
Maybe a rear sway bar would be required.

There is sure to be more video and pictures this time.

damn that Golf R is going to be quick now with 505nm! I think the 335i will get totally smoked by all the Golf Rs and R32s- especially as I will be drifting with the RWD! So long as I don't crash as it is the brother in law's car

Hah I wouldnt say no to a swap, as long as I can keep the R afterwards as well I pushed the car as hard as I could and then a bit more last time and I still couldnt get over the supposed speed limits haha, still was a hell of a lot of fun.

When you air the bags up they actually become very firm and sporty, and its like an 8 valve set up, so its not like a front and back setup which actually increase body roll when you go around corners, becuase the sides arent connected to eachother. They certainly handle much nicer then the cheap coilovers in my old car did The shocks are damper adjustable and all, it wasnt cheap gear.

I was hoping to have the front suspension swapped over to the sportier vr6 gear, with fresh bushings etc, the bigger sway and some really nice tyres for this, but due to a stuff up with ECS the parts arent going to be here in time. Ohwell.

Will definitely be getting a rear sway soon too

I wish we could change the front drive pin out in the R's like you could in the WRX's. They would be SOOO much more fun. You will love having the RWD. Just dont go sideways into me please

                        • Girlfriend was there last time yeah, has probably never been more scared in her life, haha. Will be alone this time though as shes off for thr week in Sydney (although considering how early Ill have to leave toowoomba who knows if she would of wanted to come again anyway this time ). Funnily enough she gave me tips and by the end the lap times where getting much much better (her brother races formula ford at something like a national level, so shes been around racing forever, would probably embarrass us all if she bought her little polo down, haha).

Oh and when we're not on the track it will be sitting on the ground, no need to worry about that Might consider giving it a wash on saturday and everything

Just called QR as they had not responded to my email query yet.

Apparently it is possible to change drivers or leave and re-enter through the event according to Jane (from QR)
In order to do this both people driving must purchase thier arm band ($25) and you must exit and then enter through the pit lane.

So NathanRS4 and toolman you are allowed to leave the track and re-enter during hte event so long as you do so safely
